Silence reigns and the tips of the pine trees sway in the breeze. They can’t seem to brush away the fog that seeks to devour everything: the landscape, the sense of direction… even time seems to stand still. Doubt settles in and freezes in place. Are you late for your encounter? Are you at the right location? Yes, you are, and we’ve been waiting for you.
Welcome at home
Paris, June 2020. Something is going on behind the royal blue facade of 2 bis rue Caumartin. And with good reason. Our new landmark of a master marquetry maker has just been born. As you walk through the front door, the aromas of leather mingle with the scent of oak wood. All the senses are solicited. The warm light even invites you to sit down and read a book. More than a new boutiqueone, this place is a new concept.
You’re here, in the midst of the massive mountains. Your eyes get lost in the immense green of the dense pine forest, and in the blue-grey of the large, motionless lake. Its spellbinding color is called storm. Will that be coming too? Lost in thought, you’re suddenly surprised by her arrival. She stands by your side, fascinating and beautiful.
A paradise of beautiful materials
An autumn-winter collection unlike any other
You observe the finesse of her traits and nuanced hues. Her colors seem to reflect the landscape, which is also veiled in mystery. She has a familiar air, just like her profile and her play on materials. You feel a shiver at the back of your neck. Is it the cold breeze descending from the mountains? Or the idea of allowing this stranger to guide you towards the summits? You search for the comfort of a hint. Where does she want to take you?
In collaborating with the Be-Pole studioand architect Antoine Ricardou, we have conceived this new boutique as an entry into our realm and an initiation into our century-old savoir-faire. Tables from our atelier, furniture in oak, chairs draped in velvet, the floor in Terrazzo, all punctuated with notes of blue. Welcome to a den of beautiful materials and well-finished leather goods. Note the furniture inspired by the bouquinistes along the Seine. A nod to Paris, the city that is so dear to our heart, for having brought us the silver medal at the Universal Exposition of 1900. But that’s not all.
The next chapter takes shape
Light shimmers far in the distance, along the path, but only reveals a few details about the next part of the story. Nonetheless, you can count on a few clues and the promise of an imminent surprise. Enjoy the landscape and this moment that is yours. Don’t move. You’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.
