A compact wallet holds cards, cash and coins without extra bulk. Albertine and Marguerite offer zip-around card cases starting at 4 card slots, built to carry only what's needed.
The zip-around wallet, everything in one place
A zip-around (or continental) wallet opens fully for direct access to every compartment. The Louison version runs longer, with a flap and zip closure; the largest Marguerite size holds up to 18 card slots. This larger format comes down to capacity and ease of everyday use.
Four lines, one house
Le Tanneur's women's small leather goods are organised around four lines, independent from the handbag collections. Albertine, the zip line, leans on function with removable coin and card cases. Louison, the flap line, is built for a classic look. Marguerite, the cutwork line, stands out with a graphic silhouette. Paulette, the envelope line, keeps to a clean shape in pouches and smooth-leather envelopes.
The leather itself
Every Le Tanneur wallet is made from full-grain leather, grained or smooth, chosen for its suppleness and its patina over time. This leather comes from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG) for their practices. Stitching and finishing reflect a craft the house has practised since 1898.

Do Le Tanneur wallets have RFID protection?
Yes. All Le Tanneur wallets include RFID-blocking protection, which prevents contactless cards from being scanned remotely.
Can I have a wallet personalised?
Personalisation is only available in store, through our travelling gilder's scheduled visits — any item thicker than a compact wallet doesn't fit under the embossing machine. Personalisation isn't available for online orders.
What size wallet should I choose?
It depends mainly on what you carry day to day: a compact wallet for the essentials, or a larger zip-around wallet if you'd rather keep everything, coins included, in one place. Check the dimensions and card slots on each product page if you're deciding between two sizes.
How do I look after a leather wallet?
Regular care with a leather-specific product keeps the material supple and helps it patina evenly. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or direct heat.
