1 - Le Tanneur Boutique in Boulogne

To visit the Le Tanneur boutique in Boulogne, head south of the Bois de Boulogne to the Passages shopping center, located between Porte and Pont de Saint-Cloud. Our store is at number 76, and you’ll easily recognize it by its beautiful briefcases, leather backpacks, and other pieces crafted for everyday adventures. It’s the ideal spot to welcome you and showcase our iconic pieces and latest collections. To make things easier, you can also find us at our La Défense boutique, north of the Bois de Boulogne.

2 - Le Tanneur and Leather Goods

We’ve come a long way before opening our store in Boulogne, on the outskirts of Paris. The story begins far from here, in 1898, in Belley, in the Ain region. All of France was then enjoying the festive atmosphere of the era. The youth were vibrant and self-assured—a perfect opportunity for our founders, who drew directly from the French art of living to create their first leather pieces. Our boutiques flourished across the country, trends came and went, and little by little, the House built its reputation with one guiding principle: to embody French elegance and share a love for exquisite materials and finely crafted leather goods. This principle remains unchanged. 120 years later, our Boulogne boutique is a direct testament to it.

3 - Le Tanneur's Expertise

For over a century, the Le Tanneur team has passed down and strengthened the House’s leather craftsmanship with the same passion. This is why every day, we strive to share and apply this expertise to better preserve it. Today, our mastery of leather is recognized worldwide. Each piece is crafted with the same attention and dedication to detail. Our century-old know-how is an inexhaustible source of techniques and inspiration to create today’s leather goods while preparing for tomorrow’s. With one foot in the past and the other in the present and future, leather goods evolve and reinvent themselves over time. Take our Sans-Couture coin purse, for example. An iconic creation from the House, it won a silver medal at the Paris Exposition Universelle in 1900. We still produce it today, offering it in various formats: handbags, clutches, satchels, and even cardholders. Visit our Boulogne boutique to discover this iconic piece, as well as all our other collections for men and women.
